The 2010-11 season ended on such a high note, I am left wondering what we can do to carry that over to 2011-12. One thing we have going for us is youth. We have some slight changes to the schedule, but we still maintain a good balance in our schedule with about one real tough tournament in each month with the Rapid City Inv. in December, and Chadron in January. The Philip and Belle tourneys will be a challenge as well, but the Chadron Inv is growing and the competition that is being added is top-notch.
This will be a year where we MUST go back to basics and stress doing things right and taking advantage of situations that present themselves to us. Most of our young wrestlers are only in their 2nd year of high school wrestling, so there is still much room for improvement.
I am very much looking forward to the Hot Springs Wrestling Bison shocking the South Dakota wrestling world next February with yet another top-8 finish at the state tournament.
